FootJoy ambassador Adam Scott has won his first tournament on home soil, claiming the Australian Open by five shots after a tense final round at the New South Wales Golf Club. The win ends what has proved to be a tough year for the 29-year-old FJ shoe & glove wearer. Despite this, the charismatic Aussie held his nerve to take the title, closing out his round with a stylish birdie at the closing hole to get to even par, finishing the Championship at 15-under 273.
“This is very, very special to me to win here,” said Scott. “This is going to be very sweet and something I will treasure for the rest of my career.
